Drum Acceptance Requirements
- Labeling
All drums must be marked with date, name of generator, project name, type of material
enclosed, and a number that references analytical results. If you are unable to
label drums, then labels will be provided at the OIT Moose Creek Facility.
- Ring Top Drums
All rings should be checked for tightness prior to shipping.
- Paint Marker
Drums should be marked with a paint marker, since cold weather degrades adhesive
labels.
- Over Packs
If drums show any sign of possible leakage, overpack drums should be used for containment.
- Loading
Drums should be staged on pallets prior to pickup.
- On-Spec Used Oil
Drums of on-spec used oil should be marked "used oil," rather than "waste
oil."
